Marilena is a German qualified lawyer who advises clients on all aspects of maritime, insurance and trade law with a special focus on the yachting industry.

Full Profile

Marilena qualified as a German lawyer (Rechtsanwältin) in 2020 and joined Clyde & Co in October the same year. She studied in Kiel, Hamburg, Speyer and Lund (Sweden).

Prior to joining Clyde & Co, Marilena worked several years for the German Parliament and gained experience as a research assistant at the Institute for the Law of the Sea and for Maritime Law, University of Hamburg.

Her practice focuses on domestic and international commerical, shipping and insurance litigation as well as abitration matters.  She offers deep knowledge in advising clients on all aspects of yacht law - from sale and purchase to refit negotiations as well as new builds and insurance issues.
