Mershalene has experience in all aspects of civil litigation as well as the drafting of motion and action proceedings in both the Magistrates Court and High Court. She also has experience in the drafting legal opinions regarding the insurance sector and assisting insurers mitigating claims.
Mershalene has been exposed to mediation and arbitration proceedings including the negotiating and drafting of settlement agreements. She has particular experience in rail transportation sector in relation to matters of safety and security, compliance issues, defense of personal injury claims and large scale injury accidents.
Mershalene obtained her LLB in 2013 at the University of KwaZulu-Natal and obtained her Masters in Business Law in 2014.
