Daniel Nugawela is an insurance and dispute resolution lawyer with a broad background in commercial litigation, regulatory matters, and corporate compliance. He has acted across a range of complex disputes, including insolvency, shareholder oppression, construction, defamation, and mining. He has appeared as counsel in the Federal, Supreme, District, and Magistrates Courts and advised on high-stakes matters for both listed entities and directors.
His earlier experience spans several private practice firms where he advised on contractual disputes and regulatory claims. He subsequently worked at the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX), where he advised on corporate governance, ASX Listing Rule breaches, and listed company transactions, including capital raisings, acquisitions and disposals, IPOs and dual listings.

- Acted for an ASX-listed company in opposing several applications for Special Prospecting Licences in the Wardens Court of Western Australia.
