Alexandra Payne is a Legal Director in our Manchester office and specialises in road traffic litigation, particularly claims under The Road Traffic Act and The Uninsured and Untraced Drivers’ Agreements.
Alexandra acts for the Motor Insurers Bureau (MIB) and insurers. She handles severe cases of brain injury, spinal cord injury, chronic pain and complex orthopaedic injury.
She manages highly technical cases of MIB liability, including Clause 8 arguments, illegality, ex turpi causa, meaningful degree, and causation.
Alexandra’s specific professional interest involves changes to The Deregulation Act, The Uninsured Drivers’ Agreement, and revised Article 75.
Alexandra is our Forum of Insurance Lawyers (FOIL) Champion. She is a member of our policy indemnity unit and sits on our expert subject matter groups.
