Emma practises insurance litigation, particularly in civil and professional liability and construction law matters.
A determined lawyer and astute strategist, Emma is always enthusiastic about facing complex challenges. She joined the Clyde & Co team in 2021, where she practises litigation, particularly in civil and professional liability and construction law. Emma was called to the Quebec Bar in 2020 and previously practised civil litigation as well as criminal and penal law with another Montreal law firm.
Emma holds a Diploma of Collegial Studies in Civil Engineering Technology (D.E.C.) and Bachelors of Civil Law and Common Law (B.C.L./LL.B.) from McGill University. She is thus fully able to understand all the technical and legal complexities of the files she handles. She is closely involved in a major professional liability matter in the context of a public-private partnership, which lies at the core of Emma’s expertise.
Her peers describe her as an excellent team player who is committed to finding the best solution for her clients. She speaks French, English and Italian fluently. Her extensive experience in support and coordination roles within various organizations (including the McGill Legal Information Clinic and the legal department of the Association québécoise des CPE) as well as the prizes and distinctions awarded to her (including the Fondation du Barreau du Québec scholarship and The Duke of Edinburgh's International Award – Gold Level) are a testament to Emma’s strong concern for and dedication to acting in the best interests of her community.
