Jessica Peterman focuses her practice on insurance coverage, bad faith and extra-contractual liability, personal injury and premises liability defense, and professional liability defense. Jessica also has experience with advising insurers in coverage litigation arising out of claims under commercial general liability, commercial auto and excess policies. She advises insureds in professional liability defense matters involving errors & omissions and legal liability policies.
Jessica has over 10 years of experience in the insurance industry. Prior to law school, she worked as an automobile claims adjuster for a major insurance company in Missouri and Florida office locations. Jessica's claims experience involved investigating and negotiating first- and third-party claims across all lines of auto coverage on primary and excess policies. She developed litigation plans with defense counsel and attended mediations, arbitrations, depositions and trials as a corporate representative. Jessica partnered with the multi-claim investigation unit to investigate claims involving medical provider fraud.
Jessica served as a law clerk for both the claims litigation and the general counsel groups at a regional insurance company while attending law school.
Not admitted to practice in the District of Columbia, but is being supervised by a licensed member of the D.C. bar
