Kathryn joined Clyde & Co in 2015 and is a Senior Associate in our London office in the specialty insurance team advising the political risk, trade credit, political violence and terrorism markets.

Kathryn advises London market and international insurers and reinsurers on the adjustment and defence of high value and complex claims, on coverage disputes and subrogated recovery actions as well as on non-contentious matters including policy wordings.

Kathryn has previously advised insurers in relation to disputes concerning alleged expropriation, political violence, non-payment, commodities trading and supply chain finance. She has significant experience of advising clients on complex coverage issues, including on those arising out of underlying trading documentation, elaborate trading structures and suspected commodities fraud. Further, Kathryn has advised on coverage issues relating to multiple political violence claims arising from unrest in Asia and South America.

Kathryn has experience of litigation, mediation and arbitration, particularly in the London Court of International Arbitration. During her time at Clyde & Co, Kathryn has also spent time on secondment to the claims legal team at a leading insurer.
