Martin Plowden focuses his practice in the areas of litigation and insurance coverage disputes, advising his clients on matters arising out of a variety of insurance policies including: property and business interruption, cyber, professional liability, directors and officers liability, specialty, and commercial general liability. He also provides coverage advice on contemporary legal issues such as Coronavirus/COVID-19 coverage implications. In addition, Martin is experienced in advising clients on cyber claims involving data breaches, cyber security matters, and privacy regulations, as well as the monitoring of third-party litigation and regulatory investigations arising from those breaches.
Martin is a dual-qualified attorney licensed in the jurisdictions of California, England, and Wales. He previously trained as a solicitor in Clyde & Co’s London office for two years. Martin is a fully proficient Spanish speaker.
