Olivia is an Associate in the “Energy, Marine, Natural Resources” and Aviation group in our Melbourne office. She has been a part of this department since 2017.
She has experience in contentious and non-contentious aviation matters both in Australia and internationally acting for air carriers and their insurers and has previously contributed to publications regarding air carrier liability and the regulation of drones.
Olivia has also been involved in representative proceedings representing commercial fishermen for loss and damage which was alleged to have arisen from the contamination of a port expansion project and separately, an action concerning biosecurity.

Aviation - Advising several airlines and insurers in relation to Australian-based claims for bodily injury, cargo and baggage claims.
Aviation - Successfully defended a major international airline in the Victorian Supreme Court relating to a passenger injury claim.
Aviation - Advising the airline and insurers in relation to Australian-based claims following the loss of Malaysia Airlines flights MH370 and MH17.
Aviation - Advising the airline and insurers in relation to Australian-based claims following the loss of Germanwings flight 9525 in France.
Offshore oil & gas - Acted for a major global contractor providing offshore drilling services for oil and gas against a global oilfield operator relating to alleged defective works and services.
