William is a lawyer who specializes in insurance litigation as well as civil and professional liability. His practice has so far been focused more particularly on construction law.
Building on his substantial professional experience, William has developed highly diverse skills and knowledge, both legal and interpersonal. He was thus able to excel in his legal studies (LL.B from the Université de Montréal, Dean’s Honour List and Larue et Leduc prize for excellence in criminal law) while simultaneously working for Employment and Social Development Canada as an information management analyst. During his studies, he also worked as a research assistant for several professors and for Justice Mainville of the Court of Appeal of Quebec before articling and then working as a law clerk for Justice Cotnam of the Court of Appeal of Quebec. William’s diverse employment history is a testament to his determination to help his peers and participate directly in our judicial system. It has also allowed him to develop an interest and work in all areas of law, from class actions to criminal and even family law.
Thoughtful and meticulous, William is an astute literarian and admitted bibliophile. He is fluent in French and English. William particularly enjoys helping his clients address the most complex legal challenges. He handles his files with thoroughness and rigour, always with the aim of providing the most appropriate response to the problems encountered by his clients.
Outside of work, you will find William running on Mount Royal or in the midst of a session of his local book club, discussing the world’s great classics and Quebec literature.
