Hery Frédéric has experience assisting with all aspects of institutional (ICC, ICSID, LCIA) and ad hoc arbitrations, from commencement through to enforcement and frequently represents sovereign states, companies and individuals before French and Malagasy national courts and tribunals.
He has acted as counsel and advocate to sovereign states in an International Court of Justice (ICJ) case and an African Commission for Human and Peoples' Rights (ACHPR) case. He also counsels foreign investors operating in Madagascar (mining, tourism, banking, commodities, and oil & gas sectors).
He is listed as arbitrator on the rosters of the French ICC National Committee, the Centre d'arbitrage et de médiation de Madagascar (CAMM-Madagascar), the Business Bridge OI of the Indian Ocean Islands, the arbitration centre of the Mauritus Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MCCI-Mauritius), the Mauritius LCIA-MIAC arbitration centre, the Centre de médiation et d'arbitrage de la Réunion (CMAR-Réunion), the International Arbitration Institute (IAI-Paris), and the Hong-Kong International Arbitration Centre (HKIAC).
