Viran leads the Property and Liability team in Oxford. His practice focuses on UK property, public and product liability risks and his caseload is split between policy coverage, liability defence and subrogated recoveries.
In addition, Viran advises insurers on general commercial and bespoke policy wordings.
Viran has experience of insurance and reinsurance disputes in both the High Court and in domestic and international arbitration. His background is in reinsurance where he has advised on the construction of both marine and non-marine reinsurance policy wordings. He has conducted numerous recovery actions for live companies and those in run-off.
In 2010, Viran was seconded to a Bermudan Insurance and Reinsurance company for three months.
