Hari is an Associate in Clyde & Co’s London office.  Since qualifying in September 2016, he has practised across the full spectrum of intellectual property rights in both contentious and non-contentious matters.

Hari’s contentious matters include High Court patent proceedings and disputes concerning the infringement of trade marks, passing off, copyright and design rights as well as misuse of confidential information.

In relation to non-contentious matters, Hari has extensive experience of drafting assignments and licences of IP rights and the IP terms and warranties in sale and purchase agreements.  Hari also advises clients on branding issues and the management of their trade mark portfolios.  Additionally, Hari advises on IP due diligence aspects of corporate transactions. 

Hari was awarded a Postgraduate Diploma in Intellectual Property Law and Practice from the University of Oxford in 2018.

Experience
  • B​ASF Corporation v Carpmaels & Ransford [2021] EWHC 2899 (Ch) – Full involvement as lead Associate Solicitor in the successful defence of a $1 billion damages claim, flowing from a missed appeal deadline for an EU Patent relating to emission treatment systems for diesel vehicles.
  • Advising aeronautical society in relation to its trade mark application strategy prior to its launch of a new mobile application. 
  • Negotiating settlement agreement for architecture firm in dispute relating to trade marks and branding for transportation systems.
  • Advising multinational investment bank on copyright and confidential information matters relating to an information memorandum that it had drafted.
  • Advising retail industry client in relation to accusations of infringement of unregistered design right. 
  • Reviewing and amending IP warranties for transaction relating to nanopore sequencing products.
