Oliver Sherman concentrates his practice on insurance coverage matters, including performing legal research regarding complex coverage issues, drafting comprehensive, detailed and accurate coverage opinions under multiple policy forms, and handling all phases of insurance coverage litigation.
Oliver’s insurance coverage experience includes his work in the claims department of a prominent property and casualty insurance company. He independently drafted hundreds of reservation of rights letters evaluating the insurer’s duty to defend, allocation of covered and uncovered loss, and whether failure to provide timely notice of claims precluded coverage under policies. Oliver has also provided coverage counseling to underwriters, brokers and policyholders.
