Simii has a broad range of experience in construction and professional liability disputes advising design and build contractors, construction professionals including engineers and architects, and their insurers.  Her role involves acting for a number of market leading firms and their insurers on high value claims dealing with complex and technical issues.  She has experience in many forms of dispute resolution, acting for both claimants and defendants.

Simii has also worked in-house at leading multidisciplinary engineering and consultancy firms, and more recently, at one of the world's largest global insurer.

Her experience also extends to non-contentious projects advisory works including advising on standard forms of contracts, including NEC3, RIBA, JCT and bespoke agreements in relation to constructions contracts, professional appointments and ancillary documents.  

Simii qualified as a solicitor in 2015 having trained at a niche construction/insurance firm. 

Experience
  • Acting for a global consultancy and construction firm and their insurers on a multi-party claim involving complex technical and coverage issues to do with damage to a major broadcasting headquarters
  • Advising a specialist subcontractor and their insurers regarding alleged design defects and delay from the design and construction of a slipform rig for a £400m office development in London
  • Representing a market leading structural steel company and their insurers regarding technical issues and alleged errors in the steelwork calculations for a contemporary office development in London
  • Providing commercial advice and representing a global construction firm / their insurers in relation to multiple cladding and fire safety related claims on major residential developments
  • Acting for an international structural design engineering consultant in respect of a TCC claim regarding defects to an offshore wind farm
  • Acting for an international highways contractor in respect of an international arbitration proceedings involving claims in excess of $100 million
