Alison is a Scottish qualified lawyer based in Edinburgh. She has a decade of experience defending claims on behalf of insurers, reinsurers, local authorities and companies directly in both litigated and pre litigation actions. She is a specialist in legacy claims and has worked on cases involving all types of occupational disease but with particular focus on high value fatal actions. Alison’s work now includes a significant product liability practice , most recently acting on behalf of a global manufacturer in the pelvic mesh litigation.
Alison was seconded to the Association of British insurers in London in 2015-2016 where she worked closely with the organisation’s policy directorate and in-house legal team on a range of legacy and general insurance matters.
Alison has been responsible for the preparation and reporting of monthly MI for a number of insurers and re-insurers.
