Elgan advises some of the world's largest technology, logistics and online retail companies on a broad range of contentious and non-contentious issues.

He regularly provides regulatory compliance advice on a range of issues within the transport and logistics sector, such as freight forwarding, operator licensing and the carriage of dangerous goods. He also advises on issues which arise under relevant conventions such as the CMR and ADR as well common UK trade terms such as BIFA, RHA and UKWA. Elgan is regarded as a ‘go-to’ Associate for logistics and transport advice and spent 6 months on secondment in Brussels with one of the world’s largest parcel carriers as Legal Counsel for the UK, Ireland and the Nordics.

Elgan also specialises in dispute resolution and he has extensive experience of conducting and resolving disputes in the English High Court, as well as arbitrations under the ICC, LCIA and LMAA terms. He has acted for a range of clients, including insurers, ship owners, charterers and logistics providers in a number of commercial disputes.
