Roger is an Associate in the global Project & Construction Group with experience advising a variety of clients on contentious and non-contentious construction matters, both domestic and international. 

His contentious experience covers International Arbitration, litigation in the Technology and Construction Court, Adjudication and alternative dispute resolution. 

Roger also advises funders, developers and contractors in relation to the drafting and negotiation of various construction documents, including building contracts, professional appointments and all ancillary documents primarily relating to projects in the UK.

Experience

• Acting for an employer in an international arbitration under the UNCITRAL rules in relation to a number of delay and loss and expense claims relating to a major roads project in Ethiopia. 

• Advising major domestic contractors and developers in relation to cladding and fire safety issues at residential developments across the UK.

• Acting for a contractor in an adjudication relating to the true valuation of a final account for the design and construction of a high value residential property in the UK.

• Acting for a sub-contractor in Technology and Construction Court proceedings relating to the enforcement of an Adjudicator’s decision. 

• Advising a sub-contractor in relation to a final account dispute with a contractor in relation to a commercial development in the UK.

• Preparing and negotiating the full suite of construction related agreements (including building contracts, professional appointments and all ancillary documents) in relation to various developments across the UK.
