Full Profile

Scott is a Senior Associate sitting within Clyde & Co’s London based International Arbitration team as an international commercial litigation and arbitration lawyer. His practice is typically multijurisdictional and covers both contentious litigation and arbitration and non-contentious advisory work matters.

He holds a master’s degree from Leiden University, The Netherlands, in Public International Law with a specialisation in international commercial contracts and arbitration. He has represented clients in complex commercial arbitrations, under most of the major arbitral institutions and across a wide range of sectors and industries. Scott has acted for states and state-owned entities, multinational corporations, financial institutions and private clients and has particular experience of advising on disputes arising out of large construction and infrastructure projects. In the finance and banking sector, Scott has recently been involved in a series of major cross-jurisdictional cases concerning the validity of derivative transactions and whether or not they were ultra vires.

Prior to joining Clyde & Co, Scott trained and worked at Linklaters in London and Madrid as part of the firm’s Dispute Resolution team, specialising primarily in international arbitration.

Scott has also worked as legal counsel at one of the world’s largest international non-governmental organisations, where he advised on commercial disputes, risk and compliance and international sanctions.
