Stephanie has represented directors and professionals in a diverse range of disputes, including actions alleging insolvent trading, misleading or deceptive conduct, oppression, wrongful dismissal and sex discrimination, and professional negligence. Stephanie is also experienced in defending information and network technology claims.
Stephanie has also advised and acted for insurers in relation to complex coverage issues and indemnity disputes across various lines of insurance. She also has experience as monitoring counsel in respect of a variety of claims, including large scale civil proceedings, criminal prosecutions and regulatory investigations.
In addition, Stephanie advises Australian and international insurers on public liability claims, with a particular focus on the liability of public authorities (including local councils) and the application of the statutory protections available under Part 5 of the Civil Liability Act 2002 (NSW).

Acting for a former CEO of an ASX-listed mining company in relation to claims of misleading and deceptive conduct and insolvent trading following a major corporate collapse.
Acting as coverage counsel in relation to claims brought against directors for misconduct in respect of an investment scheme.
Acting for the directors of an SME in relation to a winding up application on grounds of minority shareholder oppression.
Advising insurers on coverage issues in relation to claims made against directors and officers of an ASX-listed non-bank lender and investigations by ASIC and Receivers.
Professional indemnity
Acting for an ISP in relation to high profile litigation arising out of the 2016 eCensus.
Acting for an insurer joined to litigation commenced against chartered accountants following a denial of cover. A verdict for the insurer was obtained.
Acting for solicitors in relation to high profile litigation concerning claims of sexual discrimination and bullying within an Australian law firm.
Acting on behalf of, and advising in relation to, claims brought against insurance brokers involving liability, domestic household, motor vehicle and professional indemnity policies.
Public liability
Acting for a Local Council in relation to personal injuries sustained by a bushwalker while traversing a bushfire trail. A verdict for the Council was achieved, in reliance on s5F of the Civil Liability Act 2002 (NSW).
Acting on behalf of a Local Council in relation to personal injuries sustained by a pedestrian who fell backward from an unguarded retaining wall and suffered significant brain trauma.
