Thomas is a Senior Associate in our Projects & Construction Group based in Sydney. He is a construction lawyer with experience in litigation, arbitration and dispute resolution and has been with Clyde & Co since 2018. Thomas focuses on helping clients through all phases of the project lifecycle and has experience acting for and advising contractors on large scale upstream and downstream contracts in the areas of claims management, dispute resolution, front-end negotiations and risk analysis. |
Experience
- Acting in international and domestic arbitration proceedings for multinational construction contractors
- Acting in disputes regarding large scale construction projects in the Supreme Courts of New South Wales and Western Australia involving claims in common law and equity
- Acting for contractors in adjudications under the Building and Construction Industry Security of Payment Act 1999 (NSW) (and equivalent legislation in Victoria and Western Australia)
- Advising contractors and consultants in relation to large scale infrastructure projects, particularly rail and water infrastructure projects in New South Wales, Victoria and Western Australia
- Advising contractors in relation to claims management and dispute resolution
- Advising contractors in relation to preparation and negotiation of upstream and downstream construction agreements for infrastructure projects as well as commercial/residential developments
- Advising contractors on bespoke contracts in the areas of procurement, logistics and mining
