Overview

Through our network of offices in the Middle East, Clyde & Co has been advising international organisations operating in Oman and local entities for decades. In anticipation of Oman's continued growth and our long-term commitment to the Middle East region, we have established an association in Muscat with Fatma Al Mamari Advocacy and Legal Consultancy Firm.

Our 10+ Oman experts currently advise clients on foreign direct investment into the country and a broad range of legal issues, with a strong focus on corporate and commercial, dispute resolution, banking and finance, shipping, transport and logistics, insurance, education, infrastructure and energy sectors.

The firm has strong relationships with ministries, regulators and government bodies providing clients with ease of entry and operating in the Sultanate of Oman. Our associated office in Muscat works closely with Clyde & Co's four offices across the Middle East to provide an integrated service to clients in Oman and throughout the region.

Clyde & Co work highlights include advising on the construction of two new gas pipelines in Oman including the acquisition of the existing state gas pipeline network and an agreement to ship gas for a joint venture between the Oman Gas Company and Shell. The Muscat team has also advised on Royal Sun Alliance's USD47m acquisition of Al Ahlia Insurance Company of Oman, creating Oman’s largest insurance company.
