Alex specialises in aviation insurance and aerospace law with a focus on general aviation.  His expertise also includes airlines (personal injury and third party claims to major losses), airports, cargo, contractual disputes, employers’ liability, ground handling, inquests and advice upon accident investigation, maintenance organisations, policy coverage and security. Alex also has a strong track record of successful subrogation recoveries for insurers.  He has experience of many jurisdictions, including :

He has significant experience across Latin America, with general aviation claims handling throughout Central and South America, including :

  • His expertise in African general aviation also stretches back almost 20 years, across the whole continent, but with a significant caseload across South African and neighbouring states, and Court and arbitration experience in jurisdictions as diverse as Nigeria, Rwanda and Kenya.  s well as many Caribbean states

He studied law at Oxford University, qualifying in 1998, and joining Clyde & Co in 2004, where he became a partner in 2011.
