Carole Samuel was called to the Quebec Bar in 1990 and joined Nicholl Paskell-Mede in 2008, prior to its merger with Clyde & Co.
Carole’s practice specializes in insurance law and civil and professional liability litigation. She also has vast experience in matters of transportation law, product liability and personal injury defence. She also has experience in various subrogation actions including recovery for loss arising out of fire and damage to property, damage to buildings and contents, faulty products and workmanship, damage to freight and cargo during transportation and motor and marine losses.
She also has experience in employment litigation dealing in wrongful dismissal claims, injunctions, enforcement of non-competition/non-solicitation, Director and officer liability issues and fiduciary duties, confidentiality obligations, workplace harassment and discrimination claims.
Carole is a litigator with experience pleading before the Court of Quebec, the Quebec Superior Court and the Quebec Court of Appeal, as well as various professional disciplinary tribunals.
Since 2007, Carole sits on the disciplinary committee of the Quebec Bar Association and renders decisions on disciplinary matters involving attorneys.
She also holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of McGill in Industrial Relations and Economics (1984).
Carole is fluent in both French and in English.
