David has experience working with the major suites of construction contracts, including JCT, NEC, GC Works and FIDIC. He has a strong track record of assisting clients in adjudications brought under the Housing Grants, Construction and Regeneration Act 1996, both in referring disputes to adjudication and in defending adjudications.
He frequently advises in relation to arbitration, litigation, adjudication and disputes involving dispute boards. In addition, David has considerable experience resolving PFI disputes, particularly during the operational phase of a project. He has also been involved in a number of recent successful (and high value) disputes involving an energy from waste plant in the UK, a desalination plant in the Middle East, and a liquefied natural gas plant in the Middle East.
David has a master's degree in astrophysics, and prior to qualifying as a solicitor had a successful career as an IT consultant, working for BP Oil (amongst others).
