Jeanine Tede focuses her practice on litigation and insurance coverage, with a particular focus on marine transportation clients and their insurers.

Jeanine's practice involves the litigation of transportation and business disputes. She has represented clients in all phases of defending cargo damage and maritime personal injury claims, including complex defending ship owners in toxic tort claims. She has represented clients in numerous mediations and settlement conferences. She has briefed and argued contractual limitation of liability and subject matter jurisdiction issues before the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeal, and equitable indemnity and agency issues before the California Court of Appeal.

Jeanine also advises insurers on coverage issues raised in transportation-related policies. She has drafted coverage positions involving contractual indemnity, punitive damages, public nuisance, pollution, cargo theft and property damage. She also has experience litigating multi-insurer allocation issues in long-tail toxic tort claims and drafting allocation agreements. She counsels insurers and their broker-agents on California insurance regulation compliance.
