Lee is an insurance law specialist with over 20 years of experience in advising insurance and commercial clients on both contentious and non-contentious matters, with particular emphasis on financial institutions.  

His expertise includes professional negligence, fidelity and commercial crime, medical malpractice, pension fund trustee liability, directors and officers liability insurance, warranties and indemnities insurance and general commercial litigation. 

Lee also spent a number of years working in the London insurance market, gaining experience in complex claims handling and working with a number of Lloyd's of London syndicates on various commercial and corporate matters.

Lee obtained his B.Comm (1996) and his LLB (1998) from the University of Natal. He was admitted as an attorney in 1999 and as a solicitor in England and Wales in 2003.
