Liliana has significant experience with the legal issues arising from the placement of international reinsurance business, particularly with regard to Latin America-related risks. She acts on behalf of international reinsurers in many jurisdictions including Colombia, Mexico, Venezuela, Chile, Argentina and elsewhere in Latin America. She advises on coverage issues, claims handling, settlements, subrogation rights and recoveries, as well as on drafting and amending reinsurance wordings.

Her dual qualification as a Civil lawyer (admitted in Colombia) and English solicitor is beneficial for clients, who can rely upon her to identify coverage gaps and potential areas of future conflict.

She is also Arbitrator of high value disputes (classified within the selected List A of the Camara de Comercio de Bogota as Lawyer who has met the same requirements as a High Magistrate ie: Judge of the Constitutional Court, State Council or Supreme Court of Justice of Colombia).

She regularly visits the Latin American markets and presents seminars at major regional conferences.
