He advises and represents clients on the resolution of disputes arising out of major infrastructure projects throughout the world with a particular emphasis on the Middle East. Matthew advises throughout the project lifecycle in an effort to minimise costs and mitigate risks.

Over the years Matthew has built up strong relationships with a wide variety of clients, most notably within the construction sector within the Middle East, UK and internationally. Many of his contacts are in house legal or senior project and commercial managers. He combines excellent client and legal skills with commercial acumen and, as such, has built up a strong and loyal client base internationally.

While Matthew's primary focus is arbitration, he also has extensive experience in litigation, expert determination, adjudication and ADR.

Matthew has advised on a variety of projects, including airports, ports, offshore wind, power generation, pipelines, roads, hospitals and commercial premises.

Matthew leads teams acting in international arbitration, court litigation, adjudication and ADR and has considerable experience in large, complex, multi-party disputes. He regularly provides advice to clients throughout the Middle East region in relation to large, complex infrastructure projects.

Matthew frequently provides client and industry focused seminars, is currently on the judging panel for the Construction Industry Awards and has had published numerous industry related articles and blogs.
