Melissa has experience handling high profile, complex and multi-jurisdictional claims arising from major aviation losses and has advised on various aviation liability matters including passenger, baggage, subrogation, and third party liability claims, representing airlines, insurers and reinsurers. Melissa also has experience providing regulatory and legislative advice on aviation related matters, and defending claims brought for breach of air safety regulations and commercial disputes.

Prior to joining Clyde & Co Clasis Singapore, Melissa was a disputes lawyer based in Sydney, Australia focusing on the maritime and international trade and transport sector.

Having been educated in Malaysia, Melissa completed her tertiary education at the Australian National University (Canberra) and University of Technology, Sydney, and University of Sydney with undergraduate degrees in Law, Commerce and Information Technology, together with a Masters of Law.

Prior to joining the legal industry, Melissa worked as IT Network Analyst and Engineer. Melissa qualified as a Solicitor in the Supreme Court of New South Wales in 2010 as well as the Federal Court and High Courts of Australia in the same year.

Melissa is fluent in English, Bahasa Malay and Cantonese.
