Nick is a partner in the Marine and International Trade department of Clyde & Co, based in London.  He joined Clyde & Co from Norton Rose in 2002 and has been a Partner since 2005.

Nick specialises in shipping and trading disputes in court, arbitration and mediation proceedings.  He acts for charterers, traders, shipowners and insurers on charterparty, bill of lading, offshore and general shipping issues.  He is regularly instructed by overseas lawyers with whom he has built strong links during his career.

Nick also focuses on oil and dry cargo trading disputes and represents major commodity houses and mining companies on their shipping and marketing activities.

Nick lectures widely on legal aspects of shipping and trading.  He speaks worldwide at conferences organised by ASDEM, Coaltrans and The Oxford Princeton Programme. He also conducts regular workshops for the Lloyd's Maritime Academy and for individual clients.

Nick serves on the Council of the London Shipping Law Centre and on the Executive of the British Maritime Law Association. He is a Supporting Member of the LMAA and a Member of the London Court of International Arbitration.

Nick is recommended as "very talented" in Legal 500 and praised as a notable practitioner "who knows his stuff" in Chambers & Partners.
