Nicole advises on a wide range of commercial litigation matters, insurance claims and subrogated recoveries, professional indemnity disputes, construction guarantee claims, on-demand bond and suretyship disputes, product liability claims and the Consumer Protection Act, and also provides policy interpretation and coverage advice.
She has substantial experience in construction disputes, with a specific emphasis on renewable energy project disputes. She has been involved in a number of reported decisions in various divisions of the High Court of South Africa, and the Supreme Court of Appeal.
Nicole has a special focus on data protection and cyber risk matters, including policy wording advice and liabilities caused by cyber related incidents.
Nicole obtained her LLB degree (cum laude) from the University of Pretoria in 2008 and was admitted as an Attorney of the High Court of South Africa in March 2011. She qualified as a commercial mediator in November 2013 and is currently studying towards an LLM degree in insurance law through the University of South Africa.
