Nitesh has been practising litigation since 2008 and in the broader insurance sector since 2011. He advises in contentious and non-contentious matters on a range of issues including litigious and commercial strategy, data retention and cyber compliance, policy terms and coverage, coverage disputes and claims.

Nitesh's primary focus is advising clients (including insurers and insureds) in directors and officers, cyber, information technology and warranties and indemnities matters. He works closely with Australian and international insurers, coverholders, agents and insureds.

He has advised insurers on potential cyber exposures under existing non-cyber policies as well as the scope and terms of cyber policies and incident response strategies and plans.

In addition, he has extensive experience advising on professional indemnity matters for financial advisors/planners, accountants, information technology professionals, architects, engineers, certifiers, valuers, lawyers and other professionals.

Nitesh has acted in numerous proceedings primarily in the New South Wales District Court, Supreme Court and Court of Appeal, Federal Court of Australia and High Court of Australia. He has acted for plaintiffs, defendants, as well as insurers and insureds in coverage disputes and where cover has been extended.
