Sheel Chaudhuri is an associate at our Montreal office. A proud native of rural Ontario, Sheel has also lived, worked, and studied in Mali, New Zealand, and Singapore as well as both Quebec and Western Canada. From being a farmhand to working at a large Canadian insurer, Sheel's experience brings a uniquely multicultural and interdisciplinary perspective to his growing role in Clyde & Co's global insurance and regulatory law practices.
After completing his articles with Clyde & Co, Sheel was called to the Quebec bar in 2016. A graduate of McGill University's dual common and civil law program (B.C.L./LL.B.), Sheel additionally holds a MSc. from the University of Alberta and an HBSc. from the University of Toronto. During his studies, Sheel was an editor at the Paul-André Crépeau Centre for Private and Comparative Law, a Senior Advocate at the Legal Information Clinic at McGill, and a member of the Willem C. Sheel is particularly proud of his role as Clyde & Co's representative with the Quebec bar's Panorama Project which aims to promote diversity in the legal profession so that it better reflects Canadian society as a whole.
