Thomas joined Clyde & Co as a student in 2016 and has been an associate with the firm since 2018. He works mostly in insurance coverage analysis and regulatory compliance matters.
Thomas holds a Licentiate in Law (LL.L.) from the University of Ottawa, where he also obtained a Master of Laws degree (LL.M.). His master’s thesis addressed the interpretation of certain specialized insurance products covering risks related to corporate governance and to the construction industry. During his studies, Thomas was a research assistant for several professors and gained experience in insurance law, insurance representatives’ disciplinary law, and the distribution of financial products and services.
Before joining Clyde & Co, Thomas worked on the development of the position of a professional union representing Quebec’s insurance brokers in the context of a major reform of the legislative framework governing the Quebec financial industry. He also worked in the business insurance underwriting department of a Quebec insurer.
Thomas sits on the board of directors of the Association de la Relève en Assurance du Québec (LARAQ), the association of Quebec’s next generation of insurance practitioners.
When he is not at the office, you can find Thomas on the tennis court.
