Leading Clyde & Co aviation partners Diane Westwood Wilson and Julio Costa took to the stage at ALTA's Aviation Law Americas, the region's leading legal aviation conference.
This year's ALTA`s Aviation Law Americas conference runs from September 14 - 16 in Cartagena de Indias, Colombia.
Diane participated in a panel discussion on consumer rights, specifically examining the US Department of Transportation's (DOT) far-reaching new passenger rights rules.
Diane discussed new regulations enacted by the US DOT which substantially enhance passenger protections during transportation by air for denied boarding, tarmac delays, mandatory customer service plans, advertisement of fares, and baggage and ticket fees/fares. She also discussed the importance of the DOT's decision to delay the implementation of some of the advertising, fares and fees regulations.
Clyde & Co partner Julio Costa, one of the Brazil's leading aviation lawyers, spoke on the subject of mergers and acqusitions in Brazil.
