Gemma Parker and Sian Langer promoted to Partner at Clyde & Co

Both Sian and Gemma are recognised specialists in handling large and complex loss claims for major insurers, with more than 20 years’ combined service at Clyde & Co. Their promotions reflect the firm’s continued commitment to investing in talent and expanding its services to clients in Bristol and Southampton, key hubs for the insurance sector.

Sian has built a reputation as a trusted adviser on catastrophic personal injury cases, often involving multi-party claims with complex liability and quantum issues. Her experience spans road traffic accidents, employer’s liability and occupier’s liability claims, with cases frequently valued in the multi-million-pound range. These cases include all types of injuries including traumatic paediatric claims.

Gemma specialises in defending high‑value and catastrophic personal injury claims, acting across employers’ liability, public liability, motor and Animals Act matters. She regularly handles cases involving traumatic brain and spinal cord injuries, amputations, serious psychiatric and chronic pain conditions, and other life‑changing injuries. Gemma also has experience advising on recovery and contribution claims.

The two promotions will support Clyde & Co’s strategy to grow its casualty and catastrophic injury offering across the south of England, reinforcing its position as a trusted adviser to leading insurers in and around Bristol and Southampton.

Paula Jefferson, Partner and chair of the firm’s UK casualty practice said “Sian and Gemma exemplify the expertise and dedication that underpin our success in the catastrophic injury space. Their leadership will be instrumental as we continue to deliver exceptional service to clients, expand our footprint in the South of England, and build on our plans to strengthen the team further through internal promotions and strategic lateral hires.”
