Clyde & Co, together with the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII), invites you to join us for a webinar on Product liability and the Product Liability Directive.

2024 marked a major shift in the product liability landscape across the UK and Europe, driven by regulatory and civil liability reforms post-Brexit. Both the EU and UK governments are moving to modernise laws that have remained largely unchanged for over 35 years.

These changes are not only in response to emerging technologies and the growing use of AI but also include significant legislative updates, most notably the new EU Product Liability Directive, which came into force in December 2024. This directive could reshape the litigation landscape, paving the way for large-scale domestic and cross-border group actions against manufacturers and suppliers of allegedly defective or non-compliant products.
