Charlotte specialises in international and domestic insurance and reinsurance litigation with a strong focus on technical UK and international Product Liability claims and product recall. She also is regularly instructed to handle (re)insurance coverage issues in the London Market, Japan and Europe.
She regularly advises several global insurers on all aspects of coverage under local and global product liability master policies and is instructed by corporates for their product liability and recall issues, by insurers in relation to property damage and construction disputes, energy, life science and aviation liability risks.
Charlotte has particular experience in handling litigation for Japanese manufacturing companies globally and is an appointed legal counsel for a significant number of vehicle manufacturers across the world. As a result of these instructions, she has handled global product recalls for component suppliers, large scale liability claims from product failures causing fires, explosions, floods in multiple jurisdictions, advised on the impact of litigation concerning lithium batteries and autonomous vehicles and medical devices and pharmaceuticals.
She is also regularly instructed by London and international insurers and Lloyd's Syndicates, in respect of high value property claims and business interruption arising from offshore and onshore energy risks in the fields of coverage and construction (with a focus on CAR Policies).
