Tanzania's move to becoming low/middle income status

On 1 July 1 2020, the World Bank announced that the Tanzanian economy had been upgraded from low to lower-middle income status.

This is the result of steady economic growth in the country and a focus on improving Tanzania's infrastructure, in particular in the transportation and energy sectors.

In this video, Margareth Maganga, a senior associate in our projects and construction team in Tanzania, considers what this new status means for Tanzania.
