Clyde & Co’s Tariff Tracker provides an overview of all trade restrictions imposed or announced by the US and against the US.
Following the US Supreme Court's February 20th, 2026 decision ruling that tariffs imposed by President Trump were unlawful, Clyde & Co has paused updates to its Tariff Tracker. We will resume and advise clients once the implications (including any replacement measures and refund processes) become clearer.
The September updates on the tariff tracker including updates in US tariffs, retaliatory tariffs and any after-effects, are set out below.
On 25 September 2025, the US announced that brand-named or patented pharmaceutical products imported into the US will be subject to a 100 percent tariff. However, exemptions will apply to companies that are setting up their manufacturing plants for the pharmaceuticals in the US.
In addition, the US also announced on 25 September 2025 the following tariffs on foreign goods:
Furniture products such as kitchen cabinets, bathroom vanities and associated products, will be subject to a 50 percent tariff.
Upholstered furniture will be subject to a 30 percent tariff.
Heavy trucks will be subject to a 25 percent tariff.
The 100 percent tariff on pharmaceuticals products, together with the tariffs on furniture and heavy trucks, will come into force on 1 October 2025.
