Maren is a Counsel based in our Munich office and focuses on all aspects of aviation law, especially product liability, supply contracts, R&D contracts, as well as related insurance and regulatory matters.

Prior to joining Clyde & Co, Maren has been working as an inhouse lawyer in the aviation industry. She spent 4 years at the eVTOL aircraft start-up LILIUM near Munich, first as a Senior Legal Counsel and then as a Deputy General Counsel (Germany). Before joining LILIUM, Maren has been working for 6 years as a Senior Legal Counsel for Premium AEROTEC, an AIRBUS affiliated company and designer and manufacturer of aerostructures in Augsburg.

Maren started her career in the Munich office of a global law firm where she had been working for more than twelve years with a focus on transport and commercial litigation after having completed her legal traineeships in various international leading law firms in Munich, Paris, Lyon and Hongkong.

Maren graduated from the University of Aberdeen with an LL.M. in Commercial Law after having studied law at the University of Augsburg where she obtained the Second State Exam. She is a member of the Munich Bar.

Maren is a native German speaker and is fluent in English and has a very good level of French.

  • Advising a European company on claims against a German MRO for damages resulting from a defective aircraft maintenance.
  • Advising a European company on regulatory questions related to the set-up of airport shuttle bus services.
  • Defending a European engine manufacturer against claims for damages following the grounding of an aircraft.
