Ross advises companies of all sizes, including major operators and national oil companies, on the structuring, drafting and negotiation of key agreements across each stage of the value chain. With a particular focus on upstream and service sector clients, he primarily supports the MENA region, as well as having gained experience working in the UKCS.
Ross has advised various clients on a wide range of commercial matters within the sector, including spending a significant amount of time on secondment to Qatar energy LNG where he gained valuable insight and experience in the major projects team at the world’s largest LNG Company.
Ross is admitted as a solicitor in Scotland, qualifying in 2023. Since his qualification, Ross has been working in the oil and gas sector on both Middle East and UKCS matters, moving to the MENA region in 2024. He completed his undergraduate LLB at the University of Aberdeen in 2020, before gaining his Diploma in Legal Practice from the same University in 2021.
Prior to joining Clyde and Co, Ross trained at a law firm in Glasgow before moving to Brodies LLP in his native Scotland, subsequently transferring to their Middle East office – Brodies Middle East LLP in 2024.
