Sarah acts for Lloyd's syndicates and insurance companies on a range of coverage and subrogation matters all over the world, with a focus on Latin America.
Prior to joining Clyde & Co, Sarah spent 10 years at a Lloyd's syndicate as a Senior Claims Adjuster, handling large and complex property claims, which represented a significant exposure to the syndicate.
In 2024, Sarah was seconded to the legal team of a major Lloyd’s syndicate. As well as working closely on coverage and defence matters with the legal team, Sarah advised the claims team on various legacy Covid-19 property and contingency disputes in the Commercial Court and the Court of Appeal.
Sarah is often instructed by claims adjusters because of her experience in the London market and her understanding of how it operates. Her extensive commercial background assists in the designing and presenting of bespoke training sessions for clients. Sarah regularly presents to clients on the following topics:
- Latin American claims handling
- Underinsurance
- Insurance Act 2015
Sarah’s current caseload includes the partial collapse of a Chilean hydroelectric plant; a landslide at a Peruvian water plant and a steam turbine loss at a Guatemalan sugar mill.

- Advising reinsurers on coverage considerations arising from multi-million dollar flood damage to state-owned property in Peru.
- Advising reinsurers on underinsurance issues, with a focus on Latin America.
- Advising insurers on the application of conditions precedent in the context of EICRs and intruder alarms.
