Alexandra is a Senior Associate in the Manchester office’s Insurance, Finance and Professional Disputes team, with experience in dealing with the defence of claims against a wide range of professionals, both at a pre-litigated stage and through all stages of litigation.

Alexandra is a Senior Associate in the Insurance, Finance and Professional Disputes team in the firm’s Manchester office. Predominantly instructed by PI Insurers, Alexandra acts on behalf of PI Insurers and their Insured clients including solicitors, barristers, brokers, and construction professionals including surveyors and architects.

Having joined Clyde & Co as a Trainee Solicitor in 2015 and qualified into her current role, during her time with the firm Alexandra has also undertaken a client secondment with a London-based Insurer, developing an in depth knowledge of the insurance market, claims management and coverage issues from an Insurer’s perspective.

Experience
  • Representing firm of solicitors to Trial in a claim alleging the under-settlement of an interest-rate hedging product claim against a third-party bank, with damages claimed in excess of £14m
  • Advising various cavity wall insulation (CWI) installers businesses and their PI / PL insurers in respect of various books of CWI claims advanced following various green deal schemes, including both pre-litigated and litigated work, with varying degrees of insurance cover.
  • Acting on behalf of a developer of a significant residential property in Jersey in a claim advanced by the Purchaser of that property in respect of the design and construction of the building, in a litigated and complex technical claim, involving expert evidence from five disciplines.
