Commercial dispute resolution: Defending a manufacturer in arbitration proceedings under the SIAC Rules relating to delivery of allegedly defective goods, and acting for the client in arbitration related court proceedings arising out of the same.
Criminal proceedings: Advised a financial institution in connection with regulatory and criminal proceedings, including on engagement with enforcement processes and provision of witness evidence.
Company law: Acted for a corporate client in making a novel application to reduce the company’s “Other Reserve” under the capital reduction provisions of the Companies Act, successfully obtaining the orders sought.
Trusts / Regulatory: Advised a trust company on matters relating to administration of the trust, including compliance with MAS requirements, trust deed provisions and trust law, and on navigating disputes with the administration manager of the trust.
Employment: Advised former employees of a technology company on investigations against them commenced by their employer, assisting them in successfully recovering unpaid salary and benefits through a negotiated settlement.
