Ivana is an associate practicing in the insurance and reinsurance sector in our Johannesburg office. She obtained her Bcom Law degree and LLB degree from the University of Pretoria (both with distinction) and was admitted as an attorney of the High Court of South Africa in 2022 and has been at Clyde & Co since 2020.
Ivana advises major insurers in relation to coverage disputes, defence and recoveries. She has experience in general commercial litigation and insurance disputes and litigation concerning fire claims, property and asset damage, professional indemnity, public liability and COVID-19 business interruption claims.

- Advising insurers on a variety of coverage issues, including claims relating to property and asset damage and business interruption.
- Litigating in large COVID-19 insurance disputes.
- Litigating on behalf of major insurance companies in South Africa in defending actions and instituting recovery actions.
- Advising and litigating in general commercial disputes and representing clients in arbitration proceedings resulting from insurance and commercial disputes.
