Rachel qualified as a Solicitor in 2008. Rachel started her career as a Mental Health Solicitor at a small High Street firm in London, representing patients detained under the MHA.

Rachel went on to lead a team of Mental health and Court of Protection solicitors at a well known national law firm as a Director. Rachel then transitioned to supervise the Public Law and Human Rights team of another large national firm undertaking court of Protection work on behalf of family members of the patient in proceedings and representing the patient via the Official Solicitor.

Rachel then transitioned to work for a global company representing NHS Trusts at inquests and in Court of Protection proceedings concerning both health and welfare matters and Serious Medical Treatment matters, along with assisting various NHS Trusts on a variety of healthcare queries, including but not limited to advice on Trust protocols.

Rachel now specialises in Court of Protection and Mental health law advice and court applications along with undertaking inquests on behalf of a variety of NHS Trusts.
