Giorgia is a an insurance coverage and defense specialist, assisting international and London market insurers on all forms of Financial Lines, D&O and Professional Indemnity policies.
She has also gained an extensive knowledge and experience in handling cyber incidents and in coordinating the related services.
Giorgia has been on secondment to the Professional Indemnity / Financial Lines and to the Cyber & Tech claims teams at two major London market insurers.
Before joining Clyde & Co in February 2023, Giorgia has been a litigator in two large international law firms.
Giorgia graduated in 2009 and is admitted to the Milan Bar since 2014. She also took an LL.M. in International Dispute Resolution and Arbitration at the Queen Mary University London in 2010.
Experience
- Assisted a cyber insurer on a massive ransomware attack against a global luxury & fashion brand and coordinated with external IT vendors for incident response and forensic investigations, privacy consultants for data-breach related matters and PR/communication experts for reputation issues. She also advised on coverage under the insured’s worldwide cyber policy with respect to huge BI losses, data recovery costs and ransom payment.
- Assisted and defended the insurer of a large Italian law-firm in the high-value claim professional negligence brought by its former client
- Assisted the D&O insurer in the high-value claim for mismanagement brought by the court-appointed Administrator of a large Italian construction company against the former directors and statutory auditors
- Upon instruction from the PI or D&O insurers, defended directly the insured director or auditor in the claim for mismanagement brought by the company’s shareholders, creditors or court-appointed administrators
- Assisted and defended the public official’s insurer in the coverage litigation brought by the insured seeking indemnity for the adverse decision issued by the Court of Auditors
