Mohsen qualified as a solicitor in 2010.  Since qualifying the majority of Mohsen's career to date has been within civil litigation. Mohsen has wide-ranging experience of conducting all types of litigation from small claims to complex Court of Session actions. 

Mohsen has undertaken breach of contract actions; criminal defence matters and counter fraud work. Mohsen has experience of medical negligence matters, Public Inquiries and Fatal Accident Inquiries. As a former Procurator Fiscal Depute Mohsen has extensive experience of appearing in court and conducting trials, proofs and other procedural court work. 

Mohsen is a Law Society panel member on the Regulatory Committee, the Rules, Waivers and Guidance Committee and the Professional Misconduct Committee. Mohsen was recently accredited as specialist in Personal Injury by the Law Society. He has also recently been appointed to a specially convened Law Society Working group tasked with overseeing the regulatory reform of legal services in Scotland. The group is working with the Scottish Government and a number of other stakeholders in order to fulfil its remit.  

Mohsen is a part time university tutor at Strathclyde University. Mohsen teaches the civil elective and is responsible for delivering tutorials and the continual assessment of the students.  Finally, Mohsen is also a qualified mental health first aider and office fire safety marshal.

Experience
  • Successfully defended a charity in a fatal claim arising from a death within an alcohol rehabilitation centre.
  • Successfully defended a coach company at first instance in a road traffic accident in which there were multiple serious injuries at a popular Scottish tourist location.
  • Recently successful in twice defending a large local authority within an occupier’s claim arising from an injury which occurred during a Scottish Football Women’s league match. The action was initially successfully defended against the Claimant. The Claimant’s employer then sought to convene the local authority into a new but related action. They eventually then also abandoned the claim.
  • Current serving solicitor member of the Professional Misconduct Committee of the Law Society of Scotland.
  • Current serving solicitor member of the Regulatory Committee of the Law Society of Scotland.
  • Panel member of the Law Society's Specialist Personal Injury Accreditation Committee.

Mohsen is a Senior Associate in the Glasgow office working within the Casualty team. He has experience of both pursuing and defending all types of personal injury and property damage claims.
